NKK invites nomination for Board of Directors and Executive committee - Team 2022

To fill up the open positions as some of the office bearers’ term is ending by December 2021, NKK is seeking nominations from its current members for:

• Board of Directors – 4 Positions

• Executive Committee – 4 Positions

For nominations ​follow the below steps:

3. IF IT IS A SELF NOMINATION, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR NAME UNDER “NAME OF THE NOMINATING MEMBER”
   IN SECTION 2.

4. CLICK SUBMIT BUTTON ONLY ONCE - YOU WILL SEE A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE ON THE WINDOW

LAST DATE TO SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION - 22nd October 2021, 4 PM EST

Note: Nominations will not be received/ considered if applying through ANY other channels (e.g.: emails, phones, text messages, verbal communications to any NKK BOD/ EC member). As per the bylaws, the President, Secretary and Treasurer positions will be fulfilled by the present committee members to facilitate a smoother transition. Your nominations will ONLY be for the remaining positions in the Executive Committee.

General Rules (Please read carefully before submitting the form):

1. Any active member of the Association may submit up to a maximum of three (3) names – both propose & second. 

2. Only one nomination per family for either EC or BOD group during a given term of office.

3. Same person CANNOT be nominated for multiple positions. 

4. The nominated member will have to secure 2 seconding members and the consent of the nominees (if nominated by a 3rd person) to serve NKK is required and will be collected during the eligibility/validation process.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The nominated member should be an active paid member of NKK for the current year and immediate past year OR a LIFE Member.

2. The nominated member shall be clear of all blemishes, criminal records or negative history. 

3. The nominated member should sign the confidentiality agreement and code of ethics before they take over.

Timelines & Important dates:

Our intent is to complete the nomination process by November 2021 to enable the new team to have a smooth transition and be fully effective by January 2022.

​

1. Friday, 22nd October 2021, 4 PM – Last day to submit nomination

   (forms received on our website will have date and time stamp for validation purposes)​. 

2. Last day to withdraw nominations - 31st October 2021, 4 PM EST.

   This can be accomplished by sending an email to nominations@atlantakannada.org

3. Eligibility/Validation Process –  23rd October to 31st October 2021. 

4. Communication on eligibility to nominees: 1st November 2021 (Final list of candidates line up). 

5. Outcome of the nomination information will be e-mailed to all the 2020/2021 paid NKK members.

NOTE: In case of receiving more nominations than the number open positions, elections will be held as per the guidelines outlined in the bylaw and the process will be communicated accordingly.
